Who we are

The WEIGHT Conference website at theweightconference.org is operated by Dr. Lisa L. Campbell, Inc. and The Jasmine L. Winston Educational Foundation (together, “we,” “us” or “our”). This policy explains how we handle the information you share with us through this website, our forms and the Women Evolving: Igniting Growth, Healing and Transformation™ (WEIGHT) Conference.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you join our email list or apply to speak, sponsor or exhibit, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, city and state, business or organization, website or social media links, and the details you share in your application, such as your bio, session description, headshot and video links. Sponsors may also share the name and address to appear on a receipt.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and security providers may collect basic technical information, such as your browser type, device and the pages you visit, to keep the site working and protected from spam.

Tickets. Tickets are sold through Eventbrite. The information you provide when you buy a ticket is collected by Eventbrite under its own privacy policy and shared with us so we can plan your day, including your name, email, phone number and any dietary needs you choose to share.

How we use your information

• To review applications and respond to your questions
• To plan and host the conference, including check-in, workbooks, Transformation Boxes and lunch counts
• To send you conference updates and news, if you have chosen to receive them
• To promote selected speakers, vendors and sponsors, as described in their agreements
• To issue sponsorship receipts
• To protect our website and forms from spam and misuse
• To meet legal and recordkeeping requirements

How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the website and the conference, such as Coursie (website, forms and email), Eventbrite (tickets), PayPal (sponsor payments), Cloudflare (spam protection) and FlipLink (digital recap magazines). Information may be shared between Dr. Lisa L. Campbell, Inc. and The Jasmine L. Winston Educational Foundation as needed to host the conference.

If you are selected as a speaker, vendor or sponsor, your name, photo, bio, business name or logo may appear publicly on this website, in the conference workbook, in the digital recap magazine and on social media, as described in your agreement. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Email updates

We only add you to our email list if you choose to join it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

Photos and video

The conference is photographed and recorded. Images and video may be used in the digital recap magazine, on this website and on social media. If you prefer not to appear in photos, please let a member of our team know when you check in.

How long we keep information

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, and then we delete it.

Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you emails. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website and the conference are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Other websites

Our website links to other sites, such as Eventbrite and social media. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
